DC Connectors
From Marushin are available in many different styles. The EIAJ RC5320A standard is perhaps the most widely adopted although many many different variations are encountered in everyday use.
The EIAJ standard stipulates polarity and maximum ratings although these are not strictly adhered to by many users.
Each product range includes plugs, jacks (which may be PCB, SMD, or panel mount), inline jacks, plugs with leads fitted, extension cables and jacks for moulding.
The different products available from Marushin are -
• 3.0 by 1.0 mm (12 VDC, 0.5 Amp).
• 3.4 by 1.4 mm (12 VDC 0.5 Amp).
• 3.5 by 1.1 mm (12 VDC, 0.5 Amp).
• 3.8 by 1.4 mm (12 VDC, 0.5 Amp).
• 5.5 by 2.1, and 5.5 by 2.5 mm (12 VDC, 1 Amp).
This range also has ‘centipede power cables’ and
straight to right angled adaptors.
• 6.3 by 3.1 mm ( 12 VDC, 2 Amp).
• 7.5 by 4.1 mm (12 VDC, 2 Amp).
• EIAJ RC 5320A (3.15 VDC to 18 VDC - 2 Amps).
- Type 1 (JSAP1 / JSAJ1) plug size 2.35 by 0.7 mm 3.15 VDC
- Type 2 (JSAP2 / JSAJ2) plug size 4.0 by 1.7 mm 3.15 to 6.3 VDC
- Type 3 (JSAP3 / JSAJ3) plug size 4.75 by 1.7 mm 6.3 to 10.5 VDC
- Type 4 (JSBP4 / JSBJ4) plug size 5.5 by 3.3 mm 10.5 to 13.5 VDC
- Type 5 (JSBP5/ JSBJ5) plug size 6.5 by 4.3 mm 13.5 to 18 VDC
• EIAJ RC 5321 Type 4 (13.5 VDC - 2 Amps).
• EIAJ RC5322 for automotive applications (24 VDC - 2 Amps).
