Activa - Fan Special Functions
Rotation Detection (RD or RRD)
A third wire allows Rotation Detection to be monitored. The output is open collector and is a continuous signal - which can be inverted RRD.
Signal Function Generation (FG)
A third wire allows a square wave function to be monitored. The output is open collector and the mark / space ratio of the output square wave depends on the number of poles in the fan motor and the operating frequency.
Temperature Control (T)
These fans have a built-in thermistor which will decrease fan speed as ambient temperature decreases (and vice versa).
IP 54 or IP 55 Ratings (-54 or -55)
Fans can be made to comply with the IEC IP54 or IP55 ratings for water and dust resistance.
High Temperature Environments (HT)
Fans can be made with extended operating temperature ranges.
